IPMA HAS A NEW PRESIDENT AND NEW VICE PRESIDENTS

The Council of Delegates held in Copenhagen on 26th September 2008 saw the appointment of the new Board of Directors of IPMA for 2009-2010. Brigitte Schaden is the new President and Roberto Mori, President of the Italian Project Management Academy and Chairman of the Scientific Committee of IPMA Roma 2008, has been appointed Vice President.

The other vice presidents are Ruud G. Bolsius, Netherlands - Nino Grau, Germany - Qian Fupei, China - Mladen Radujkovic, Croatia - Alexander Tovb, Russia.

During the meeting Luigi Iperti, Chairman of the IPMA Roma 2008 World Congress, provided an update on the event. Luigi said:

"We have very good keynote speakers and three exciting panels with high level participants. More than 250 papers with a high scientific and technical content will be presented by speakers from more then 30 countries. We expect to have 1,000 participants. A very special social event is being organised for the delegates and their partners; during the farewell dinner MA delegates will perform their national songs".

Luigi concluded by asking the representatives of the different countries to send him and Morten Fangel the music of the songs they intend to perform .

The hospitality offered by the Danish Project Management Association was very warm and during the Saturday dinner Luigi, Jyry and Wessel gave a commitment to collaborate in the organisation of the congresses of Rome 2008, Helsinki 2009 and Johannesburg 2010.
