OTTO ZIEGLMEIER PASSED AWAY

With deep sorrow we have received the news that our friend and colleague Otto Zieglmeier, Vice President IPMA, passed away on 6th April. Otto has been key protagonist of IPMA growth and expansion: the conception and development of Project Excellence Awards stands out among his many achievements. All of us in IPMA family who knew him have lost both a friend and a professional colleague. I wish to quote Mary McKinlay, VP IPMA, words: His approach to life was unique and creative and driven by passion for his work and everything that he cared about, he never did anything by halves. Otto has also taken important part in the organization of the 22nd IPMA World Congress in Roma. The Organizing Committee will also miss his advice. However, just his passion for professional work is his legacy for us all to continue. I express our heartfelt sympathy to Otto's family, to our German friends and to IPMA ExBo, also on behalf of ANIMP, of the Italian Project Management Academy and of the Organizing Committee.
