Instructions for final papers submission
ForewordThe large majority of the "abstracts" submitted were not easily understandable by a general reader who is not acquainted with the context.
In most case they did not contain : background (work context) and/or aim (reason for writing the paper) and/or method followed and/or results (basic findings) and/or conclusions/consequences.
Instead, the Authors' CV, achievements, etc. have generally been widely detailed.
Considering that :
- The majority of the abstracts were submitted at the last moment;
- Their number, much higher than expected, made it impossible to contact almost all the Authors and ask for proper re-submission without affecting the Congress organization schedule;
- The Organizers wish to avoid the risk of non-accepting possible good papers because of abstracts' inadequacy;
The Scientific Committees have often decided to postpone the final assessment until after the full paper has been received, thus increasing also the possibility that the Congress be an opportunity for a wide review of the state-of-the-art of Project Management.
Therefore, to allow a timely and proper assessment, all the submitted papers, irrespective of their final destination, must strictly adhere to the following guidelines and instructions.
Papers that do not comply with these guidelines and instructions will not be considered for publications.
NB 1 : Papers should focus on methods and technologies of Project Management, underlining their innovative aspects and practical value for participants to the Congress
NB 2 : Papers not new, already presented or published will not be considered too.
NB 3 : Papers and presentations should be free of commercial sales content. Please refrain from including unnecessary marketing/advertising materials and information, which would be sufficient reason for not considering the paper.
Presenters will generally have a time availability of 25 minutes, including Q & A. Consequently a maximum number of 15.ppt slides (in the MS-Office Power Point format, not later than 2003 version) is allowed. The first slide of all presentations should be according to the attached downloadable template (click here to download).
Instead, the Presenters are free to use the other templates also for all the slides.
Outstanding/innovative presentations will be given longer time : the concerned Authors will be directly contacted.
When submitting the final paper, the Author should also permit publishing the paper on Internet and in all the Congress documentation and proceedings, including the ISBN hard copies.
Lack of such a permit will imply the exclusion of the concerned paper from the Congress documentation.
The final papers can be submitted by e-mail at :
Deadline for final submission is July 31, 2008
