ANIMP is the Italian Association of Industrial Plant Engineering. Established in 1974, ANIMP is the meeting centre where University, Engineering Companies and Manufacturers of Plant Components may develop innovations and share common experiences to foster the most reliable and efficient Industrial Plants. ANIMP's mission is to give Italian industry the opportunity to exploit its full competitive advantage and to react better to the rapid technological change that characterises today's world economy. To achieve this target, members of ANIMP rely on the vast resource of more 50.000 highly skilled engineers and technicians combined with increasingly sophisticated technological capability and the essential use of project management methodologies. Animp is indeed deeply involved in the development of project management:with the aim of extending the benefits of its use to other Sectors than Industrial Plants, ANIMP has also been granted the sole right to certificate Project Managers in Italy in compliance with IPMA .methods and procedures.

IPMA HAS ASSIGNED TO "ANIMP-Project management section" THE ORGANIZATION OF THE " 22nd IPMA WORLD CONGRESS 2008" THAT WILL BE HELD IN ROME.

The title of the congress is "Project Management to run" that expresses the new and greater importance of time in the era of globalization, with the need to halve the time:

• from first idea to project start
• from project start to project completion and delivery of its benefits
